In addition to their academic activities, the students of the department are involved in all sorts of extracurricular activities. These activities are helpful in building their leadership quality. They organized and successfully completed several programs, seminars, tours to make an enhancement of their perception capabilities.
Study Tour
Every year the students get the opportunity to take a study tour in different parts of the country. The students also visit important water resources projects in Bangladesh like Kaptai Dam, Jamuna Multi-purpose bridge, Teesta Barrage etc. Internship The Department of Water Resources Engineering offers internship opportunity for its graduating students. Usually after completion of Level-4/Term-1, students are sent on a short internship attachment in different organizations related to water resources planning, management and engineering. Such opportunity helps students to achieve some practical knowledge and also to apply what they have learned theoretically in their graduate education. |

Sports and Entertainment
The students of the department organize Cricket and Football tournaments as a part of their extracurricular activities. Every year they arrange several cultural programs, Freshers' Reception, Farewell Program etc.
