Water Resources Engineering Students' Association (WRESA)
The students of the Department of Water Resources Engineering are organized under a common platform by forming a student organization, named WRESA (Water Resources Engineering Students' Association). It is a non-political, non-profit students' association under the department of Water Resources Engineering. The purpose of this association is to promote co-curricular activities among the students through cultural programs, excursions, sports etc. and to increase the interaction between and among the teachers and the students.
Every undergraduate student of the department is a member of WRESA. This association operates with a selected Executive Committee formed by the students of different levels. The departmental head is the President of this association and the other teachers work as advisors. Prof. Md. Sabbir Mostofa Khan, Prof. Md. Ataur Rahman and Mr. Rajib Kamal are the current advisors of WRESA. WRESA has added a new dimension to this Department from the very beginning. Guidance of the teachers, inspiration of the ex-students and team work and coordination of the students led WRESA with lots of successful events. Some of the important events were the “WRE Festival 2009”, the development of “WRE Forum” etc. |
